'Guardians' is part of my 'Salt & Light III' collection and continues my on-going love affair with Auckland's characterful and majestic maunga Maungawhau/Mt Eden.
This piece speaks of home and beauty, a tangible reminder of the familiar and meaningful places that shape our stories. Intricate details across the work carefully captures the colours and textures of each tree and wind-swept grasses and describes the individual personality of uniquely New Zealand architecture with homes that appear to grow from the lush lower slopes of the mountain.
